About the event

Intensive half-day session for Startup Founders and Leaders which focuses on how to deal with journalists effectively. You'll be coached by a former BBC News correspondent, whose career, first in newspapers then in broadcast, was spent reporting and presenting for a range of BBC outlets, as well as interviewing Prime Ministers, Presidents, MPs, Peers and senior business leaders.

This highly practical session will give you and your business all the tools in your media toolbox to perform well in front of the cameras and microphones and to promote your young busines to best effect. 

Video examples of good and poor media handling; how to create short concise soundbites; the art of ‘bridging’; sticking to key messages and lines to take; use of simple language; the “Message House” technique; how to react in a communications crisis; interview practice based on key messages.

Trainer will record the sessions and guide participants through invidividual feedback. Participants will be sent written personal feedback and ‘points to remember’ following the session.
